In our attempt to do the right thing and obtain insurance for our outdoor concert series at Deb’s, we have only just heard bad news. Deb’s homeowners insurance will be dropped if she has any indoor or outdoor concerts/events. Her agency has tried many other options with the same results. Deb went from panic, shock, and disbelief, to actually realizing that we do not have to cancel the entire summer series but we can relocate it. Here is the good news:
We will be hosting the series in the Spinning Room in the Granite Mill, 71 Main Street, in our very picturesque, historic downtown Harrisville. It is a 150 seat room. Our concerts will never have more than 90 ticket holders. Masks, at least until seated recommended, and socially distanced seating as needed so that all are comfortable. The room is basically wall to wall windows on three sides and the windows will be open. This is a beautifully renovated room in an historic building that has been used for concerts, plays and meetings. It has everything we need. While we are disappointed that we cannot be outdoors, this seemed the next best thing to cancelling and missing out on once again enjoying live music. We hope you will agree.
Reminder: Please be respectful of the people around you and only take a picture or two during the concert. Cell phones need to be turned off and not used as a video camera throughout the concert.
