Deb's Chesham House Concerts

"House Concerts build strong friendships between musicians, presenters, and listeners. Most importantly,
House Concerts provide the most intimate and compelling performance environment available."
  - Darryl Purpose

October, 2023 - I am once again happy to invite musicians to play in my living room. It is important for all my music friends to know that 100% of the recommended donation you pay goes directly to the musician. For me this is a labor of love that I started doing in 2002. It is not a business. let's get back to enjoying this wonderful intimate setting with some amazing musician friends. Thank you. ~ Deb

2020 - 2023 - This site remains here at the web site for the history of it all. It was a wonderful run of supporting young musicians to help them expand their careers and to then progress to a Peterborough Folk Music larger venue. The house concerts sadly ended in 2021. Thank you for all the support given to the wonderful times we had enjoying the pot lucks, camaraderie and musicians. See you at a PFM concert. ~ Deb

You drive down a dirt road and turn in to Deb’s long driveway that drives thru a field, and you instantly feel welcome. You will park alongside the driveway and enter the house along with up to 50 other people for a pot luck dinner one hour before the concert. You will be greeted by friendly warm people, some regulars and many new to the concept but all there to appreciate some good fine home cooking and the music in a warm loving home that provides the musicians with a listening room full of music lovers.  It’s all about the music that brings these fine folks all together for an evening of entertainment.

House concerts bring people together for the love of the music in an intimate, relaxed and self-serve, friendly environment, in a listening room, while always remembering you are in someone’s home and will treat it as if it were your own. These concerts are held in the spring and fall. If the weather is lovely, most folks enjoy eating out doors, roaming around the yard and gardens and some walk down to the stream.  It is out of the generosity of your hosts that these concerts happen. Generally the hosts have met these musicians at other venues or at festivals and they want to share them with as many music lovers as they can.

If you have prearranged to attend the pot luck through a phone call or email, you will only need to bring the food and if you like, BYOB. Folks bring everything from soft drinks to wine, beer, etc. Coffee and tea are provided as well as everything else you need to enjoy your dinner. Dessert is held during intermission at which time folks continue to enjoy meeting and talking with the musicians and each other, purchasing musicians product and then settling down for the second half of the concert.

If you have any questions, be sure to ask by emailing Deb at deb@pfmsconcerts.org. We do not publish the exact location. You will be given the address when you reserve your place at the concert. They are held in Harrisville, NH. These concerts often sell out way in advance so if you think you want to come to a specific concert, don’t hesitate to get your tickets. Be sure to email Deb to reserve your spot at the pot luck and to sign up for a main dish or a dessert.

One final thing...100% of the ticket and artists product sales goes to the artists. Your hosts provide this evening as a labor of love, out of a passion for the music and the dersire to share the music and these fine talended people with you.

We look forward to seeing you at a concert.
